Tour Plan for ‘ Sikkim Yak Trek ’ by Vacations International Inc.
Day 01 : Arrival – Kolkata
On arrival in Kolkata, Vacations International Airport representative greets and transfers you to the hotel. Freshen up and relax at the hotel. Later proceed for sightseeing tour of Kolkata visiting Victoria Memorial, Kali Temple, Botanical Garden, etc. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel.
Day 02 : Kolkata - Bagdogra - Darjeeling
In time, transfer to airport for flight to Bagdogra. Arrive Bagdogra and further drive to Darjeeling and transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel.
Day 03 : Darjeeling
Breakfast will be at the hotel. Full day sight seeing -it has been a very popular hill station since British established it as a rest and recreation centre. Zoological Park, botanical gardens, Himalayan mountaineering institute, the only one of its kind to train mountaineers, are the main attractions in Darjeeling. Visit tiger hill for sun rise which has the most beautiful view of sunset. Later, visit Ghoom Monastery. Dinner and overnight will be at hotel.
Day 04 : Darjeeling - Pemayangste
After breakfast drive to Pemayangste. It is one of the state's oldest and most important monasteries. It was founded in 1705 but was badly damaged in earth quake of 1913 and 1960. Visit monasteries. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel at Pemayangste.
Day 05 : Pemayangste
After breakfast, trek to Yuksum. Overnight will be in the tents.
Day 06 : Pemayangste – Tsokha
Early morning, start trek and climb up to a height of aprox 3000 mts. In Tsokha there is a small Tibetan village. Overnight will be in the tents.
Day 07 : Tsokha - Dzongri
After breakfast, trek to Dzongri. Overnight will be in the tents.
Day 08 : Dzongri - Thangsing
After breakfast, trek to Thangsing. Overnight will be in the tents.

After breakfast, trek to Dzongri. Overnight will be in the tents.
Day 08 : Dzongri - Thangsing
After breakfast, trek to Thangsing. Overnight will be in the tents.
Day 09 : Thangsing - Simiti
Take you breakfast. Trek to Simiti. Overnight will be in the tents.
Day 10 : Simiti
Simiti is at a height of 4000 mts and 7 hours of walk will take us to Simiti Lake a small and a beautiful lake by itself. Further it gives us a change to rock climb some of the nearest small peaks.
Day 11 : Simiti - Goecha La - Thangsing
Take your breakfast. Trek to Goecha La - Thangsing. The journey back takes about 10 hours. Overnight will be in the tents.
Day 12 : Thangsing - Dzongri - Dorgi
Take your breakfast. Trek back to Dzongri. We back trek the route over the glacier. Reach Dorgi check-in at tents. Overnight will be in the tents.
Day 13 : Dorgi - Tsokha - Bakhim - Yuksum
Take your breakfast. Trek to Tsokha and Bakhim and end at Yuksum. We have 5 - 6 hours of trek for Tsokha and further after the walk we camp at Bakhim. Overnight will be in the tents.
Day 14 : Yuksum
Day at leisure.
Day 15 : Yuksum – Pemayangste
Take your breakfast, trek to starting point for about 8 hours to reach Yuksum. Later transfer to Pemayangste. Arrive and check-in at hotel. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel.
Day 16 : Pemayangste to Bagdogra - Kolkata
Early morning transfer to Bagdogra airport for flight to Kolkata. Arrive Kolkata and transfer to Hotel over night.
Day 17 :
Transfer to International Airport for flight back to Home/Onward Destination.
Take you breakfast. Trek to Simiti. Overnight will be in the tents.
Day 10 : Simiti
Simiti is at a height of 4000 mts and 7 hours of walk will take us to Simiti Lake a small and a beautiful lake by itself. Further it gives us a change to rock climb some of the nearest small peaks.
Day 11 : Simiti - Goecha La - Thangsing
